The following information should be helpful to you in preparing for your consultation, and understanding the procedures I follow when designing your wedding flowers.
The Initial Wedding Consultation I do not charge a fee for my wedding consultations. At this
juncture the wedding attendant’s dresses should have been ordered. The color of the dresses will dictate the color scheme of the
flowers, also the style of the dresses influence the design and shape of the bouquets. We can decide on flower colors and styles
only with final dress choices. Dress swatches are very helpful in planning the color scheme, and necessary if ribbons are to be
matched exactly. The colors of the mother’s dresses are not necessary at this time.
Should you wish to reserve your wedding date prior to having your dress selection finalized, or prior to your initial consultation,
a deposit of $100.00 would assure you a place on my calendar.

Consultation Worksheet Enclosed in your wedding folder you will receive a worksheet entitled “Wedding Flower Plan”. Part of this
worksheet is posted on the site. Please include this information when requesting a consultation with me. This is the form that I
will use during your consultation to determine the necessary flowers for the wedding party, ceremony location, and reception. It
will be helpful for you to review the form prior to your consultation so that you can supply this important information.

Choosing Flowers and Styles Once a color scheme is established, the shape and style of arrangements must be established. I have lovely
wedding design books to use as inspiration as well as pictures of my work. Please feel free to bring pictures of bouquets and
flowers that you like. It will give me an important first impression of your taste in flowers.
Please do not limit yourself to
seasonal flowers. We have access to flowers from the entire world; most flowers are available most of the time. I keep availability
in mind when recommending particular flowers. It is important to remember that flowers are not a manufactured item and are subject
to growing conditions at their source. If I find that a major flower chosen for your theme will not be available in time for your
wedding, I will contact you with a suggested substitution.

Flowers Budgets I do not have a minimum amount requirement for the weddings I create. I have worked with many flower budgets from modest to lavish, and I can create a lovely wedding on a limited budget when expectations are realistic.

Samples After booking your wedding with Vandergrift Floral Co., if pictures and discussions do not give you a clear
vision of your choice, I can make bouquet or centerpiece samples for you; however there would be a charge for these samples.

Visiting Ceremony and Reception Locations
If you wish me to make a visit to your ceremony or reception location to discuss decorations, I will
be happy to do so, however, there will be a charge, computed on an hourly basis, for this service.

Rental Items In addition to the personal flowers and arrangements that you purchase for your wedding, I have additional
items available on a rental basis to further decorate your ceremony and reception locations. Such items include pedestals to place
large arrangements, special centerpiece containers, chuppahs, arches, trellises, lattice panels, trees (available with lights), and
green plants such as ferns and ivy.

Flower Delivery and Set-Up Charges Included in my delivery and set-up charge are stops at three locations: the bride’s dressing address is
usually delivered two hours prior to the wedding time, or may be timed to coincide with the arrival of the photographer.
Personal flowers, such as boutonnieres and corsages, and church decorations are delivered an hour prior to the ceremony,
depending on the amount of decorating necessary. An important factor concerning delivery time for a ceremony at a Roman Catholic
Church, Saturday evening is the time of the mass. My delivery person will be ready to enter the church as soon as the parishioners
have left.
Reception flowers are delivered at the convenience of the function hall and Vandergrift Floral Co. Unless
there is intricate assembling to do, the flowers are delivered to the function hall for placement on tables by the catering staff.

Flower Care After Delivery In creating your wedding designs I use fresh well-conditioned flowers, and the designs are kept refrigerated and misted for freshness until the moment they are received. Upon receipt of your flowers, they should be kept in a cool place away
from direct light and heat.
If the bouquets have hand-tied stems, a source of water must be provided such as a bowl or
pitcher depending upon length of bouquet stems.
My delivery person will bring the boxes into the house for further
handling and distribution by you or someone you have designated to carry out this task. I offer the service of handing the bouquets
to the wedding party and pinning on corsages and boutonnieres at an additional service fee computed on an hourly basis.

Deposit and Payment Schedule To book your wedding with Vandergrift Floral Co., I request a $100.00 deposit. At that time I place your
wedding date on my calendar and enter all of the necessary information into my computer. Then I send you a printout of the flower
order for review and to make any necessary corrections or additions. I do not release to you any of my paperwork until a deposit has been made, however, you may take notes on flower choices and prices during your consultation.
You may make payments on
the balance due at any time. I do require that the amount be paid in full two weeks prior to the wedding date at which time the
flower order is placed.

Making Changes in Your Flower Plan After our initial consultation, there should be few changes after your review of the flower plan. As time
progresses there will probably be an addition or deletion of corsages or boutonnières, but I ask that only emergency changes be made after the flower order has been placed. The final number of centerpieces is the last item to be finalized, two weeks to ten days
prior to the wedding.
I trust that this planning information has answered many of your questions and removed any
